Youth are the leaders of the future. Today
they must be our partners protecting and restoring the health
of our environment.
Cooperative Extension Supports Youth Environmental Stewardship,
or CES YES, is a national project that seeks to strengthen
the abilities of Extension educators, 4-H county and state
faculty, and professionals from other natural resources
agencies to serve communities, youth leaders and youth.
Extension/4-H leaders and volunteers can help youth develop
the skills to implement creative solutions to environmental
needs in their communities. There are many tools already
available to guide leaders. Many provide free curricula
and activities, and outline the steps it takes to use them.
The CES YES Design Team has pulled together a number of
these resources, and has developed a few of its own, to
facilitate program development and delivery for the Extension
leader.
